Clouds twirl overhead as the sun starts to descend at the Callanish Standing Stones, Isle of Lewis.
The sun descends behind one of the linear placement of stones outside the main circle at Callanish, Isle of Lewis.
The sun sets behind five stone pillars at Callanish's stone circle. This image is underexposed to form the silhouettes - while we waited for the sun to drop lower, the hills in the background are a little too high to allow a deep sunset. From the lie of the land, I suspect sunrise may be a good option, as the land drops away on both sides so as to obscure any man-made objects.
