Burchell's starling on a branch around Lower Sabie, Kruger. This is more a detail shot than a composition - although these birds flit past us as metallic reflectors, it's fascinating to look at the structure beneath the shine and also the huge variation in colour between different feather systems.
Just another banded-legged golden orb web spider with a caterpillar in the background and a tiny, dominated male above it. Big, not harmful, wonderfully huge webs and clearly a vibrant golden colour. Insects and arachnids rock.
